Funding Issues

Idea '97 Highlights

IDEA funds shall be used to assist in child find, screening, parent training, and the provision of services
Information regarding how services are delivered is reported to the Secretary of the Interior on a biennial basis
Schools may in some situations use funds to carry out school-wide programs
Funding must not be based on the type of setting in which a child is served
IDEA funds shall be used to supplement and not to supplant other funds

Goal A: Implement IDEA '97 Funding requirements.
